YOUNG CHILD LEFT IN CAR DURING THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER

The incident: On a Saturday afternoon following the Blue Angels Air Show, the client parked at Walmart and went inside, leaving her five-year-old niece in the car with the windows up and the car turned off. Concerned citizens broke out the car window. Police arrived on the scene and confronted the suspect, who provided a false name.

Charges: Felony Child Neglect, Providing a False Name

The verdict: The state attorney conceded the motion to dismiss the felony charge. Felony charge dismissed.
