Professional Experience
Since becoming a lawyer is 2005, Jason’s career has focused almost exclusively on DUI and criminal defense. He founded Cromey Law with the goal of achieving justice for each and every one of his clients in a system that is often rigged against them.
The firm specializes in all areas of criminal defense, including misdemeanors, felonies, probation violations, criminal appeals, post-conviction cases, and expungements. Jason places a heavy focus on DUI and BUI cases and is considered locally to be one of the top attorneys in that field. As a member of both the National College of DUI Defense and the DUI Defense Lawyers Association, in addition to attending countless hours of DUI education courses each year, Jason is on top of the ever-evolving world of Florida DUI defense.
For years Jason has been recognized as a Super Lawyer, an elite group comprised of only the top 5% of lawyers around the country. For more than 9 years, he has also been recognized as one of the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 lawyers in the State of Florida. In addition to these honors, Jason is rated as an AV Preeminent attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, who has evaluated attorneys for more than 130 years. An AV Preeminent rating is the highest rating available. It is only given to attorneys with the highest level of professional excellence for their legal expertise, communication skills, and ethical standards.
Criminal law is Jason’s passion. He has served two tenures as president of the Escambia/Santa Rosa criminal defense bar. Jason is a board member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the FACDL chapter representative for this area, and is chair of the FACDL criminal rules committee. Most recently, Jason was appointed by the President of the Florida Bar to serve on its Criminal Procedure and Rules Committee.
Cromey Law is located in the heart of downtown Pensacola, just blocks away from the Escambia County courthouse. The office serves all of Escambia, Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa counties.
