Resisting Officer with Violence– A person commits the crime of resisting an officer with violence if a person knowingly and willfully resists, obstructs, or opposes any officer by violent means when the officer is engaged in a lawful duty. This crime is a third-degree felony and is punishable by up to 5 years in prison, a $5000 fine, or both.
